Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the RewriteCV website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by RewriteCV, Inc. ("RewriteCV", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to register for an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself and to update this information to maintain its accuracy.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these requirements.

You must be at least 16 years old to use our Service. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2. Free Service

RewriteCV is proud to offer our service completely free of charge. There are no subscription fees, hidden costs, or premium features that require payment. All features and templates are available to all users at no cost.

While we currently provide the Service for free, we reserve the right to change our business model in the future. If we decide to introduce paid features or subscription plans, we will provide clear notice to all users. Any such changes would not affect your access to features that were previously available for free.

We may display advertisements on our Service to support our free business model. By using our Service, you agree to the display of such advertisements.

3. User Content

3.1 Content Ownership

You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or otherwise provide to the Service ("User Content"), including your CV/resume data. By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display such User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

3.2 Content Restrictions

You agree not to create, upload, or share any User Content that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains false, misleading, or deceptive information
• Contains offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content
• Contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Impersonates any person or entity
• Constitutes unsolicited promotional material or spam

3.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to review, screen, or remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of RewriteCV and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

4.2 CV Templates

The CV templates, designs, and formatting tools provided through the Service are licensed, not sold, to you. You may use these templates and tools to create and download your CV/resume for personal or professional use. You may not redistribute, sell, or otherwise commercialize our templates or designs.

4.3 Feedback

If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Service, you grant us the right to use such information for any purpose without compensation or attribution to you.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service:

• In any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
• To transmit or facilitate the transmission of unsolicited advertisements or promotional materials
• To impersonate or attempt to impersonate RewriteCV, a RewriteCV employee, another user, or any other person or entity
• To engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Service
• To attempt to access any part of the Service, or any server, computer, or database connected to the Service, by hacking, password mining, or any other unauthorized means
• To use any robot, spider, or other automatic device, process, or means to access the Service for any purpose, including monitoring or copying any of the material on the Service
• To introduce any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, logic bombs, or other malicious or technologically harmful material
• To interfere with the proper working of the Service

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including, without limitation, if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or delete your account through your account settings.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 Service Provided "As Is"

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7.2 No Guarantees

We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will meet your specific requirements
• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• The quality of any products, services, information, or other material obtained through the Service will meet your expectations
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected

7.3 Employment Outcomes

While we strive to provide high-quality CV/resume templates and tools, we do not guarantee any specific employment outcomes as a result of using our Service. Job success depends on many factors beyond the format and design of your CV/resume.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall RewriteCV, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed $100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RewriteCV, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your access to or use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including without limitation any intellectual property rights or privacy rights
• Your User Content

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. We will provide notice of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page, updating the "Last Updated" date, and/or notifying you through the Service, via email, or other communication.

Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11.2 Informal Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim against RewriteCV, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@rewritecv.com. We'll try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you via email. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days of submission, you or RewriteCV may proceed with filing a formal claim.

11.3 Arbitration

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in San Francisco, California, in the English language, and the arbitral decision may be enforced in any court.

11.4 Class Action Waiver

You agree that any proceedings to resolve or litigate any dispute will be conducted solely on an individual basis. Neither you nor RewriteCV will seek to have any dispute heard as a class action, private attorney general action, or in any proceeding in which either party acts or proposes to act in a representative capacity.

12. Severability and Waiver

12.1 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

12.2 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of those rights. The waiver of any such right or provision will be effective only if in writing and signed by an authorized representative of RewriteCV.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RewriteCV regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals, or representations, written or oral, concerning the subject matter.
